Job Description

This contract role is on point to discern the client’s desired outcomes and target audiences at the onset of every initiative. The Senior ID ensures the project vision is clear so he/she can provide guidance and best practices to the entire Instructional Design team working on the project. The Senior ID provides oversight of the content of all project design and development resources and liaises between the client and the ttc development team for all content related changes or issues.

The ideal candidate has a passion for designing effective instructional materials and can see the bigger picture, attend to details at the same time and effectively communicate both to a team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Works closely with project manager to organize, plan and execute project tasks and deliverables
  • Quickly grasp and internalize project key goals and objectives to drive the overall vision and outcomes for the internal project team and the client
  • Oversees the analysis and design process to determine and recommend appropriate solution(s) to address client needs
  • Support the team (including instructional designers, project managers, etc.) in managing the customer and ensuring the project deliverables and customer success criteria are being achieved by setting and monitoring standards, processes and tools/templates
  •  Develop strategic client relations with client partners to executive level personnel
  • Strategically evaluates project for potential risks and issues, eliminating roadblocks and effectively resolves issues
  • Acts as main client point of contact for content related issues
  • Oversees the quality check process for all deliverables (instructional integrity, client style guidelines and writing standards)
  • Communicate with, coach, motivate and influence contract project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Consult with client on current performance issues and performance needed to meet business goals
  • Assume responsibility for the project’s content direction, goals and overall success

Contracting Requirements

  • Tax Status of C Corp, S Corp, or LLC (with tax classification of C=C corporation or S=S corporation)
  • Submit portfolio of samples representing work to be completed while contracting with ttcInnovations
  •  Applicable equipment and software

Experience & Skills 

  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of the Instructional Design process (analysis, design, development and evaluation) for paper-based, and web-based courseware.
  • Demonstrated ability to design highly creative, quality and innovative learning solutions that educate and entertain 
  • Demonstrated ability to leading teams and mentoring other Instructional Designers 
  • Experience working with project team, subject matter experts and executive level personnel
  • Ability to partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop training content that results in information that is relevant and complete 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of analysis to determine learning needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to create detail course/program designs for a variety of learning solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively review training materials and ensure they meet quality standards (instructional integrity, client style guidelines and writing standards)
  • Highly organized and extremely responsive
  • Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and conduct effective meetings
  • Ability to learn, organize, and communicate new subject matter 
  • Comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged 
  • 8+ years of previous experience in instructional analysis, design and development 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Rate: $50-55/hour
