Job Description

Equity Methods seeks an organized, thoughtful B2B marketer to develop and execute programs that showcase our capabilities and ensure the effectiveness of our message to clients, prospects, and friends across multiple channels. You’ll work closely with team members in marketing, operations, recruiting, and consulting to bring our marketing programs to life.

  • Conceptualizes marketing campaigns and sees them through to the end, providing extensive hands-on execution and project management throughout the process
  • Works directly on recurring initiatives, providing coordination and deliverables as needed
  • Collaborates with internal staff from the marketing, client service, operations, data, and business development teams
  • Oversees outside vendors (editor, creative team, web developers, etc.) to ensure high-quality execution that’s within budget
  • Assesses the effectiveness of marketing programs and advises on spend
  • Pivots quickly to stand up campaigns in response to emerging market needs
  • Acts as a guardian of our brand and messaging, evaluating our programs through the eyes of our target audience and shaping them accordingly

Characteristics of the Successful Candidate:

  • Possesses at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in B2B marketing (professional services experience a plus) with a track record of successful initiatives involving both direct contributions and project/vendor management
  • Synthesizes numerical, contractual, and industry information and takes appropriate action; as effective with quantitative and financial data as with qualitative information
  • Demonstrates superior writing skills with a nuanced understanding of language and tone
  • Is organized, flexible, and agile in fluid, faced-paced environments; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Has sound judgment and “uncommon common sense”
  • Telecommutes effectively, employing videoconferencing, email, and other company tools to communicate with colleagues and forge productive relationships
  • Demonstrates personal initiative in problem-solving and skill acquisition
  • Can excel independently or collaboratively as the situation warrants
  • Directs and coaches junior colleagues as appropriate, delivers feedback to vendors, and seeks feedback from stakeholders

Technology Details:

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation software; familiarity with Salesforce
  • Light experience with photo editing, desktop publishing software, and HTML
  • Basic camera and video skills are helpful, but not required
