This is a fully remote, part-time position of about 20 hours/week that must be worked during traditional daytime hours.


The SM Specialist is responsible for creating, delivering and maintaining Earth Echo’s cohesive presence, engagement and messaging across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc). Leads the articulation of Earth Echo products and communications in the marketplace. Leads growth on all social media channels for the Earth Echo brand. Works collaboratively with the Programs and Content team on community engagement and social marketing.

The focus of this job centers around producing timely results that are high quality and accurate. Benefiting from an analytical, inquiring and critical mind, this job requires imagination and strong problem solving skills, but with a strong technical orientation. The job requires an ability to deal with abstract concepts, systems and ideas and all of that in an organized and self-disciplined way. It also requires that serious consideration be given to all possibly related facts and potential problems. This job demands deep knowledge and expertise and to do it successfully depends on understanding detailed information. Intellectual confidence is important in this job and to do it well requires close, hands-on involvement, careful follow-up and very disciplined, and limited, delegation. This job is technically demanding and ‘strictly business’, with little need for influential ‘people interactions’. Central to this job is the need to weigh all decisions carefully and thoroughly, based on expertise in order to avoid unpredictable risk. Getting the job done and getting it done right are the two, equal, drivers for this job, and that may create conflict.

Description & Influence:

  • Liaise with Danette May and Programs & Content Director to understand the full strategy of the Earth Echo brand.
  • Research, suggest and implement social trends
  • Prepare all weekly social campaigns (grid, copy direction)
  • Assign tasks and project manage all Social Media team (Graphics to content to review to scheduling)
  • Attend virtual Marketing Meetings and initiate social marketing campaigns
  • Works closely and collaboratively with graphics, video and content teams
  • Provides weekly metric reports to the Programs & Content Director
  • Prepares meeting agendas
  • Manages all brand promotional stories
  • Creates and maintains social SOPs
  • Resolves technical issues
  • Creates and maintains all sales links
  • Collaborates with other brands for giveaways, promotions, etc.

Background & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; preferred marketing or communications field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of progressive brand marketing and social media experience is required
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic and tactical ability combined with expert relationship management skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for social media, healthy living, exercise, nutrition and overall wellness.
  • Excellent knowledge and love of digital and social media with industry awareness and exceptional research skills.
  • Experienced in social media strategy, campaigns and engagement across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest)
  • Resourceful and able to handle multiple projects, priorities and timeliness with little direction.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and overall presentation skills.
  • Gmail and G Suite experience required.
  • Ability to manage high volume project scope in a fast-paced creative environment
  • Great collaborator with ability to focus on both the big picture and small detail
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to take ownership, roll up sleeves, and get things done
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit
