Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven, new business-oriented sales professional to actively prospect and sell the complete Chemical Week portfolio (with increased emphasis on new digital opportunities, in Europe and Middle East) to top players in the chemical market and their digital agencies.

We’re looking for an energetic Sales professional who can:

  • Build network of client and agency contacts
  • Drive new customer leads through cold calling and coordinated campaign outreach
  • Employ a solution-based sales methodology to best align Chemical Week’s capabilities with prospect needs
  • Prioritize and organize sales and administrative tasks to ensure expected outcomes are achieved on schedule
  • Provide timely and accurate insight to their pipeline leading to accurate forecasts
  • Develop a strong understanding of the value proposition for our offerings as it relates to their end market
  • Keep current with digital market trends, product, industry, and competitive knowledge

Skills required /Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or business field with at least three years business-to-business direct consultative selling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Business to business experience essential
  • Prior experience in selling and supporting services in the chemical / energy industry
  • Prior experience working with the digital publisher or data industry
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter; able to operate in a less/unstructured role and manage own day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships
  • Proven negotiation, communication, customer service and presentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate and handle difficult customer situations
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets, acquiring new business, selling broad-based solutions; proficiency in solution selling techniques

Other Requirements:

Occasional travel to customer sites and/or trade shows
